“…I’m so grateful to have found you and with your help gain my core and pelvic function and flexibility back.”

Hi. My name is Irene Donahue. I'm a Women's Health Fitness Specialist in New York City.  I'm a mother, teacher, skier, snowboarder, former dancer and all around lover of movement. I believe that a healthy, fit body is one that functions well.

With a Bachelor’s Degree with Individual Concentration in Exercise Science and Dance from the University of Massachusetts Amherst in hand,  I cultivated over a decade of experience training clients of all fitness levels. I gravitated toward Pre/postnatal Fitness, Women’s Health and Pelvic Floor Rehabilitation following my son's birth and my own experiences with pelvic floor dysfunction- including childbirth injury, pelvic pain, incontinence and pelvic organ prolapse. The experience of managing my recovery and healing my own body made me deeply passionate about empowering other women to do the same.

I am a NASM certified personal trainer and have taken numerous continuing education courses specific to women's health. My biggest influences are Burrell Education, Julie Wiebe PT and the research of Diane Lee. I have in-house training experience within the pelvic health physical therapy clinic setting and I collaborate often with the most knowledgeable WHPT’s in NYC. Using researched based information, I teach women how to strengthen and protect their cores for life and enjoy their movement practice with confidence.
